RYAN Arborists join state board of directors
March 2006
Two Ryan Lawn & Tree associates recently deepened their involvement with the Kansas Arborist Association, a state association comprised of individuals working in the tree care industry.
Matt Evans, department manager at Ryan Lawn & Tree, began his term as president of the Kansas Arborist Association at the KAA Shade Tree Conference in Topeka January 11-13. Evans will serve as president for one year before finishing his second three-year term on the board of directors in 2007.
Jim Cameron, certified arborist for Ryan Lawn & Tree, joined the board of directors for the Kansas Arborist Association at the conference as well. Cameron will serve a three-year term. He was selected to the 12-member board through a nomination process.
The purpose of the Kansas Arborist Association is to educate arborists in Kansas about new arboriculture practices. In addition to several conferences throughout the year, the association provides a week-long training course for individuals wishing to become certified arborists.
